Persol 714 Series Italian Crafted Folding Pilot
Authenticity Guaranteed
Product Description
Introduced in the 1960s as a folding version of the 649 model, the 714 were the first-ever folding glasses. This model requires ten additional manufacturing steps compared to the standard ones. Persol incorporates their patented Meflecto hinge system, the world’s first flexible stem designed for maximum comfort by eliminating pressure on the head from the arms of glasses. Fitted with tempered glass lenses that offer 100% UV protection from the sun's harmful rays. 714 glasses owe their fame to Steve McQueen, who wore them in the film The Thomas Crown Affair. Hand made in Italy.
